Welcome to Gryd, a platform built to help small business owners create meaningful connections, grow together, and reach new customers in a more intentional way.

The idea for Gryd was envisioned by our Founder, Layton Brook, with a simple but powerful idea: give small businesses a place to collaborate with one another, strengthen their marketing reach, and build real referral-based relationships that benefits everyone involved.

Gryd is designed for both businesses and customers. Customers can search for businesses, connect with them directly, and find the services they need. Businesses can also create posts to attract attention from potential clients in their area and build visibility within their local market.

Any employee of a business can create an individual/customer account to help their company find customers. When collaborating with your company, you can take part in the projects and the referral process.

One of the core features of Gryd is the ability for a business to create or join a Gryd. A Gryd is a focused group of local business relationships designed to encourage trust, referrals, and collaboration. To keep those relationships valuable, each business can only create or join up to three Gryds. Each Gryd can include up to twenty businesses, each making connection stay purposeful.

Gryd is also a social network for business activity. Businesses can create content, engage with posts, respond to others, and stay active in their professional communities. We only allow direct messaging and friending/following for customer accounts. Customer accounts can directly get in touch with the businesses they want to reach out for a service and/or product. Businesses do not communicate in the same way with other businesses, they communicate through our Gryd system. Otherwise, commenting or socializing on posts whether they are from customers or businesses uses a normal social media approach. In addition, business owners can manage their organization, add employees, and assign projects internally. When a referral comes in from a member of your Gryd, you can choose to complete the project yourself or delegate it to an employee on your team.

The more referrals you participate in, the more your visibility improves. From one star to five stars and from Bronze to Gold, your profile will display your progress for the entire network to see and your posts and/or your business will show up more often within the network.
